Spring Break

This week Ross has been on Spring Break (from preschool)......and so have I. He went to Paragould for the week so one would think that it's been really relaxing and quiet around here. Well, quiet...yes...but relaxing..NO! I've had more to do this week than when Ross is here. It's strange! I've been enjoying it though because it's made the week go by quickly and Ross comes home today!


This week I've helped a friend decorate his new apartment, shopped for a dress for Arizona, and gotten things ready for a baby shower I'm having at the house this weekend. While I've enjoyed all of these activities this week....I'm pooped!

Zoo

The above title has the potential to be followed by a wonderful fun post about a day spent with family at the zoo.....that couldn't be further from the truth. It's actually referring to what I now consider my house to be! A zoo.

Let me explain:

Wes was running appointments on Monday, when I received call from him telling me about these adorable 6 week old Austrailian Shepherd puppies that weren't being cared for properly. And by properly I mean that 3 or 4 had already died because the owner wasn't supplementing when the mother couldn't feed all of them AND feeding the ones that had survived things such as burnt cheese dip....seriously.

So I told him to bring as many of them home as the owner would let him have so that we could give them the proper care....like shots, de-wormer and proper food....and then find them great homes!

So I would like to you to meet our newest "temporary" (and I stress TEMPORARY) family members....

So as you can see, adding 2 puppies to the already full household...aka Harley, Hank, and Skippy's been staying with us.....we are at MAX capacity! It's all been fun albeit a little stressful.

Obsession

To put it mildly....We've been OBSESSED with Wii Band Hero since we got it last weekend.

Slacker...

I've been slacking lately on my blogging, which I'm sure you guys know. It's pretty much because not a whole lot has been going on around here. But, that being said, I still have some pictures from the last week that you might find funny.

Wes, Ross and I went to our friends Becca and Skippy's house for dinner a few nights ago and Ross got to play with Gia, Becca's daughter. She's 2 and is one of the funniest and cutest kids ever. Here's Ross with her Yo Gabba Gabba dress up kit!

Lately, Ross has been wanting to go on "dates" with me. This usually means us going to McDonald's or somewhere else to eat just the 2 of us. But with all the snow we've been getting we haven't gotten to go anywhere. So we had a picnic date upstairs on our window seat so we could overlook the snow. Here's a picture of my date!

Also, a couple weekends ago Ross got to go to Paragould for a couple of days (before the snow hit) and one of his activities was getting to paint a stool with his Papaw. This is a stool that I had built with MY Papaw years ago so it was really neat that it's still around! Here's him concentrating on painting....He told me that he was a great painter!

Yesterday was Valentine's Day and the 3 of us spent it together at home and it was wonderful! I got a nice drawing from Ross and a very sweet letter from Wes. I couldn't ask for better guys in my life!

Super Bowl Sunday!

Today is Super Bowl Sunday!! I'm so excited because my Colts are playing in it and have a really good chance of winning! Now don't get me wrong, I've liked the Saints too this year but my loyalty to the Colts far outweighs that!

This picture is from a couple of weeks ago but it's what Ross and I will be wearing again today so I thought I would post it! We are about to head to Blake and Carol's house for the big party after I make my guacamole. Yum!
