The World According to Ross

So lately Ross has been saying TONS of hilarious things! I thought I probably needed to just blog them all as I remembered them so we don't forget them. Sooo here goes....

1. Today Ross was the only one of us not still sick so he went to preschool. Wes went and picked him up this afternoon and Ross informed him that there was a Halloween parade at school on Thursday and that we needed to let him wear his costume to school. Daddy then told him that he had gotten his (Wes') costume today. When asked what he thought Daddy was going to be Ross replied, "A Gingerbread Man???.....An Oompa Loompa??" Niiiiiiiiiice!! Maybe he should've put those on the list of choices...

Oh and we won't be revealing what Daddy is going to be until I post pictures afterward!

2. Also today when Ross got home we did the usual about going through his day. I ask him what he did, if he got in trouble, and so on. As we were sitting and talking I caught him picking his nose...gross I know. Well he then showed me his "prize" that he had found and I quickly snatched it into a kleenex.

He then proceeds to tell me that he (my son) had done that at school today too. Greeeeat, I thought, my kid's the booger eater at school.... Then to ease all of my fears he tells me, "It was during naptime so I just wiped it on my mat."

Well.....at least he didn't eat it...right?!

I'm sure there will be plenty more to come!

Shower for Baby Shotts!

On Saturday, my friends Leslie, April and I threw a baby shower for our wonderful friend, Laura. She's expecting a baby girl in February. She was worried that the shower was a little early but the doctor will not let her travel after Thanksgiving and now that she's living in Atlanta we had to do it early! Her and her husband, Zeke, moved there for the first year of his residency and after that will be moving to Minnesota for the remainder of his residency. That's right....MINNESOTA....he will be doing residency at the Mayo Clinic!! How awesome is that! Here are some pictures from the shower...

The shower was loads of fun...although I didn't get any pictures of her opening presents. I'm sure she will post some on her blog. So check it out!

Pumpkin Carving

Last Thursday after I picked up Ross from school, Wes and I took him to the small pumpkin patch in front of his preschool. It was for the church's youth group raising money for ministries. We picked out a large pumpkin and a small pumpkin to carve. Here's a few pics showing the festivities...

Looking excited...

Harley wanted to help too.

Holding the bag for the pumpkin guts!

And the finished product....Batman!

So a little backgound on this last photo....Wes wanted to see if we could make Ross look like his head was the pumpkin....without showing his hands holding it! I almost couldn't take the picture because I was laughing so hard...

Happy Fall!

New Addition

Meet Henry Morgan....aka....Hank! This is my new Ragdoll kitty! I got him on Monday when Ross and I rode with Mimi and Papa to pick up HER kitty, Mesha. I just fell in love with them and just decided that I needed an early Christmas present from my hubby! Thanks babe!!

Sweet Hank

And for comical relief, this is the picture that the breeder had on her website of Hank. It's like a glamour shot for kitties!!! Check it out...
Hilarious!!

Enjoy you day!

Race for the Cure

Last Saturday was the Race for the Cure here in Little Rock. I joined my Aunt Jimmie Lou's team with most of the women in my family. It was incredible the amount of people at the race. They say there was 45,000! Craziness....so here are some pictures from the event.

It was a alot of fun and definitely for a great cause. I'm so glad that I was able to participate with my mom, aunts, and cousins.

Toy Story Fun with the Cooks

Ross and I got invited by Uncle Trey and Aunt Carrissa to dinner and a movie! After my long day of cleaning my closet I thought we both deserved some fun. We went to eat at Outback and then went to see the double feature of Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D. Ross loved it!

Being silly in our 3D glasses!

So cute...

Thanks again Trey and Carrissa for a really fun evening! Hopefully we can do it again soon. Ross has already picked the movie....Where the Wild Things Are!!! Should be fun!

Cleaning Out My Closet

As most of my friends and family know I have a thing for shopping! I mean...who doesn't? Right??! Well, that being said my closet (and shopping) has gotten out of control!! Something had to be done.

So my entire Monday was spent cleaning out the pig sty that is my closet...oh and it's Wes' too but he's great at keeping his clothes in check!

Before (looking at my side of the closet)

The chaotic shoe and purse/jeans area

On a side note, when I say cleaning out my closet I am referring to bagging up clothes/shoes/purses that I either haven't worn in a while or will never wear again! So...the finished product.....

Can you guys guess how many bags I pulled out of there??.......13! It's insane the amount of crap that I've collected over the past couple of years. And also know that I do a random cleanout every once in a while.

The insane amount of bags

Also something interesting that goes along with this....apparently I had so much stuff in there that Wes actually said, "It looks better....but kinda the same!" Nice, huh?! All of my 6 hours of hardwork and I just put a dent in the black hole that is my closet!

Where I've Been

This past weekend we attended an event called Splatters. It's a charity event that benefits the Centers for Youth and Family. Before the event we had a get together at Aaron and Julie Young's house for Aaron's birthday. Here are some photos.

The rest of the weekend was spent with some friends watching College Football. Go Hogs!!

We have also been attending a new church lately and we have grown to love it! It's always a blessing when you come home from church and your child can relay every detail of a Bible story to you. This Sunday it was about Joseph and his brothers. Ross told me in specific detail (even down to the animal's blood on the coat) what happened in the story!! Precious! And at the end Ross says to me, "Mom, God had a plan for Joseph!" Doesn't get much better than that!

Nothing much...

There hasn't been a whole lot going on around the Morgan household lately. We've just been staying at home mostly and being very low-key. It's been really nice.

This is Ross last year at Halloween...he was Walker Texas Ranger...

Carving pumpkins last year....he looks so little!

This year for Halloween Ross hasn't veered far from the Walker Texas Ranger of last year....he's gonna be Cowboy Walker (as he calls it). At least this year he's got a better costume! Last year I was convinced he wasn't gonna dress up so I didn't plan ANYTHING until like the day before...couldn't you tell?! This year he's got chaps and a vest, a bullet belt, boots, and spurs! Plus a new hat...it will be adorable! I'm just hoping he doesn't ask for that beard again this year!!!

Hope you guys have a great day! Oh and tonight's the big wedding on The Office!!! Can't wait! It's our favorite night of the week!

School Picture Day

AND it's raining of course! At least Ross doesn't have much hair to mess up.

As I stated in my last post I had to go and get him some new fall/winter clothes because he's had a growth spurt. While I was there I found this cute outfit for pictures today! Isn't it precious? It's all from the Gap. Also on a side note, the background for the pictures was a "mountain scene".....that should be interesting to see!

Practicing his pose...

I found these adorable shoes at the Gap as well...

Practicing the smile

Also, last night my friend Miste and her son Reed came to spend the night with us. We went shopping today while Ross was in school. :)

Me and my Level 4!!..Love her!

Well, now Ross and I are cozied up on the couch waiting on Daddy to get home. It's rainy and nasty outside so we are having Taco Soup tonight. Hope it's yummy!!

Stay dry!!

The Weekend

Wow! I can't believe the weekend is over and it's the start of another week. We had a really good weekend around the Morgan house. On Friday night Ross got invited to go and spend the night at Mrs. Cindy's house (which is our friend Dustin's parent's house).

Ross LOVES Mrs. Cindy and Mr. David. They are like his Little Rock set of grandparents and they treat him like a grandson. It's wonderful!

This is Gia! She spent the night too.

Ross checking Gia out in the car...

So while Ross was with his Little Rock grandparents, Mommy and Daddy got to have a great time with some great friends.

Wes and I at Jerry B's

On Saturday we had people from Wes' office over for games of Baggo, food, and to watch the Razorback game. It started at 2 and went on until midnight. Lots of fun!

On Sunday we went and visited my Aunt Paulette who is in the hospital here in Little Rock. Please remember her in your prayers. She's been diagnosed with cancer and will be starting chemo today.

Well, kind of a boring post but as this is my scrapbook/journal I wanted to remember what went on this weekend. Now Ross and I are off the the mall to buy him some new pants and shirts since he's officially grown out of his 3T stuff from last year.

Enjoy your day!
